TEFL Standard courses are offered in multiple locations around the US. All of our course locations are held in metropolitan cities, each with their own flavor - from the bright lights of New York City to the SoCal vibe of Los Angeles. Most locations are easily accessible from the surrounding areas.
Flexibility
TEFL Standard courses are the perfect option for working professionals or full-time students who are unable to take advantage of the flexibility of online learning, but still want the in-person interaction of a onsite course. During the week, TEFL Standard students complete coursework on our interactive virtual learning platform. Students are able to login at any time during the week to complete these assignments, and are free to work ahead if they choose. The onsite portion of the course takes places over three consecutive weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). Class sizes are limited to 12 students, and provide ample opportunities for discussion, role-playing and direct access to the instructor. The onsite portion of the course also integrates practical experience into the coursework.
Onsite Support
All TEFL Institute students have full access to our Student Services department during and after their course. In addition, TEFL Standard students receive onsite support from their instructor during weekend course sessions.
Hands on Experience (Practicum)
The Practicum experience provides students the opportunity to get hands-on experience in an ESL classroom before heading overseas. This is done individually, and is arranged in your area. Usually finding an ESL classroom to observe or assist is a quick and easy process. If you have trouble finding a school to work with, our Student Services Department will help you find a classroom.
