Kathmandu - the vibrant capital of Nepal - is a fascinating and ancient city where pagodas, stone-cobbled streets, beautifully-carved windows, and stone shrines serve as prismatic backdros to the continuing drama of unaltered and unhindered life. Kathmandu bustles with palace squares, towering temples, Buddhist Stupas, and beautiful, rolling hills.
Kathmandu is rich in ancient religions and colorful cultures - a turn around every corner surprises visitors with sites such as Hindu Gods/Goddesses, reincarnated Llamas, and warm, friendly people with vibrant smiles. Interesting sites in Kathmandu include: Taleju Temple, Kal Bhairav (the God of Destruction), Nautalle Durbar, Coronation area of Nasal Chowk, the Gaddi Baithak, the statue of King Pratap Malla, the Great Bell and Great Drums of Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Square as well as the Jagannath Temple.
The School
Our TEFL Institute in Nepal is located in the heart of Kathmandu - granting participants easy assess to the major areas of Kathmandu. The school is located approximately 4 km from the international airport and 3 km from the famously large tourist Bazaar of Thamel. This 4-story building in Kathmandu is equipped with spacious classrooms, audio-visual tools, and a small library.
Tuition does cover:

Room/Food
The housing fee covers housing and meals in various local host families residing in Kathmandu. Your host family provides a separate room and 3 meals a day. Should you decide to stay in a hotel, this can be arranged as well but requires an additional increase in program fees. Program fees also cover airport receive/pick-up, on-site, field support.
Arrival Information
All participants should arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Transfer from Airport to Host Family/Hostel/Hotel
TEFL Institute provides airport pick-up and a transfer service. We will transfer participants to their respective living accommodations. NOTE: We DO NOT offer airport drop-off services - participants are responsible for arranging their own return transportation once the program has commenced. Teachers are required to provide their flight information prior to arrival in Kathmandu.
How can I contact the school if I arrive before the start of the TEFL program?
In the event that participants arrive before the proposed start date, they are advised to remain in a suggested hotel where they will then call our offices. This information, such as the address and telephone numbers of our Kathmandu office, will be included the in the final placement details provided in the supplied pre-departure booklet
Accommodation/Food
We offer living accommodations and meals in a local host family. Your host family provides a separate room and 3 meals a day (local, Nepalese cuisine). Should participants wish to stay in hotel, this can be arranged but at an additional fee. Depending upon the quality of the hotel in Kathmandu, the cost can vary from$5-100 per day. Local Nepalese cuisine is very similar to Indian cuisine in that it generally consists of rice, curry, Dal, vegetables, milk, etc. However, a variety of exotic foods is available throughout the city of Kathmandu.

Kathmandu is the business center and capital of Nepal offering all these facilities/services within a 2-3 km radius.
