Marrakesh is Morocco's second largest city and its population continues to rise. Surrounded by the peaks of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakesh has warm, humid summers and mild winters.
The center of Marrakesh is the famous square, Djemaa el-Fna, which is full of entertainers such as acrobats, drummers, dancers, pipe musicians, comedians and storytellers. When you have had your fill of entertainment, head into Marrakesh’s maze of covered market streets. In the evening about 100 small restaurants set up right in the middle of the action, offering Morocco's traditional cuisine at its very best.
The School
The Course in Marrakesh is an intensive 4-week/120-hour program - including 100 hours of course materials and in-class work with an instructor and an additional 20 hours of volunteer English-teaching. Both intensive and fun, the TEFL program provides participants with comprehensive training in a professional and supportive environment.
Located just outside the crowded city center in the “Ville Nouvelle”, the modern state-of-the-art building is found in a quiet residential neighborhood in the district of Guéliz. Here you will find many restaurants, cafés, galleries and boutiques. Facilities include free WiFi internet access, a lunch room as well as an extensive resource room. Included in the course fee are three hours of "Survival Arabic". There will also be opportunities for cultural excursions during the course.

Housing options and pricing are dependent upon availability and season at the time of your course. Your onsite coordinator will be able to provide more details and recommendations.
A Marrakesh homestay for one month is available for 5000 dirhams paid directly to the host. Homestays include access to a kitchen and same city airport/train pick-up. Furnished apartments are possible as well.
Transportation
Your onsite coordinator will provide the address of the TEFL school where participants are to arrive upon arrival in Morocco, and will also provide a map to help you and your taxi arrive there without problems or difficulty.
Travel around the city by bus, taxi, train, car, or horse cab. During high traffic times, walking is a great way to see the dense downtown area. For long distance trips, there are a few different types of buses that travel in and out of Marrakesh.
Climate
Marakesh features mild wet winters and hot dry summers. The climate is similar to but less rainy than Mediterranean climates.
