The capital and largest city of Kenya, Nairobi is a sprawling metropolitan filled with a colorful diversity of cultures and a myriad of opportunities for travelers, students and adventure-seekers. Also known as "The Safari Capital of the World," this major city offers the excitement of the very nearby Nairobi National Park - lying just outside its border are over 400 species of birds as well as giraffes, lions, etc. Other attractions, such as a multitude of museums housing a vast catalog of historically-significant artifacts, the largest ice-rink in Africa (the Solar Ice Rink) and the world-renowned Giraffe Center, beckon safari-lovers and students alike.
The School
The school in Kenya is located in Nairobi - the ever-busy business district offering a skyline unique to Africa but not unlike the major cities of Asia and/or the United States. The school is located approximately 15 km from the international airport. The school offers spacious classrooms, audio-visual tools, and a small library.
Housing

Transportation
The most popular form of public transportation in Nairobi is the matatu. This type of minibus collects passengers in route. There are also local bus services with operate set routes and schedules through the streets. Taxis are also plentiful, but not metered, so price negotiations should take place before departure.
