Teaching Abroad in Czech Republic Overview:

Czech Republic is a pearl of Europe that remained largely untouched from the destruction brought on by World War II. The capital of Prague has enough to keep you occupied for a lifetime, but you will want to get out and explore other notable attractions like the underground caves of the Moravian Karst or the bone chandelier in the Ossuary Chapel of All Saints in Sedlec. The Czech Republic has castles and folk art galore, but there is also an unbridled spirit among the people. Foreigners are welcomed with open arms and English teachers working in Czech Republic are routinely invited to cheers in the tasty suds from any one of the famous breweries throughout the land.

Obzinky - Czech Republic Harvest Festival

After the harvest has been completed, farm workers make wreaths of rye, wild flowers, straw or ears of wheat. These wreaths are placed on the heads of the girls. Then they go to the owner of the land and place a wreath on his head. Then they all join in a dance and feast. Then the wreath of the owner is placed in an honorable location until the next harvest. A dish known as Sauerkraut and a cake called Kolache is then consumed.
